He’s also known for his speech on the floor of the European Parliament where he said to the Prime Minister Gordon Brown “You cannot spend your way out of a recession.” Hannan discusses why a Tea Party movement can occur in America and not in Europe, and why the European social-welfare model is diseased and unsustainable.
