Imagine a system in which a private company as a "government service provider" offers you protection of life, liberty, and property. This service includes internal and external security, a legal and regulatory framework and independent dispute resolution. You pay a contractually fixed fee for these services per year. The government service provider, as the operator of the community, cannot unilaterally change this "citizens' contract" with you later on. As a "contract citizen", you have a legal claim to compliance and a claim for damages in the event of malperformance. You take care of everything else by yourself, but you can also do whatever you want, limited only by the rights of others and the other moderate rules of living together. This includes teaming up with others for all sorts of purposes. Disputes between you and the government service provider are heard in independent arbitration courts, as is customary in international commercial law. If the operator ignores the arbitral awards or abuses his power in another way, his customers leave and he goes bankrupt. He therefore has an economic risk and therefore an incentive to treat his customers well and in accordance with the contract.
This system is called Free Private City

Free markets are simply an expression for the freedom accorded to everyone to choose to spend their earnings, profits and savings as they see fit. In these conditions it is the function of businessmen and entrepreneurs to respond to the collective wishes of individuals for the goods and services they desire from time to time. If they fail in this quest they will lose their capital and ultimately go out of business. If they succeed, they make profits. The consumer is king, exercising his right of choice continually, despite any attempts to influence him through the advertising and branding a businessman deploys. The consumer decides the demand for what goods and services he desires, setting their prices. In free markets the businessman has to accept this reality. He has to evolve his products and his pricing to stay in business. He has to compete.

A opção libertária nas eleições dos EUA:
A ideologia libertária centra-se num princípio fundamental: a liberdade individual; assegurada por liberdade de escolha, voluntarismo, defesa da propriedade individual e assente no transversal princípio de não-agressão.
Um libertário acredita que todos os indivíduos devem ter liberdade de fazer as suas escolhas (morais e económicas) sem imposição ou coerção por terceiros ou pelo Estado, e defende que a única limitação à sua liberdade individual é a liberdade do próximo.
Politicamente, a ideologia libertária defende a tolerância social (pela liberdade de escolha e contra a imposição de valores) e a redução da interferência do Estado na actividades económicas, políticas e sociais dos cidadãos. Defendendo, por exemplo, a liberalização do cannabis e os direitos LGBT, e opondo-se à intervenção dos bancos centrais e aos bail-outs públicos. Na política externa o libertarismo opõe-se ao intervencionismo militar e à ingerência na política interna de outros países.
